Medical Device Reprocessing Supervisor

The Medical Device Reprocessing Supervisor at Mackenzie Health is responsible for ensuring the timely processing of equipment and supplies necessary to support the operation of internal departments. This role involves supervising and developing human resources, developing and maintaining inter-department linkages, and performing administrative responsibilities.
The Supervisor promotes the development of a motivated and cohesive team and supports educational strategies to enhance staff knowledge with respect to processing practices and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the timely processing of equipment and supplies necessary to support the operation of internal departments.
- Develop and maintain inter-department linkages to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Perform administrative responsibilities, including monitoring quality standards and performing quality checks.
- Supervise and develop human resources to ensure a motivated and cohesive team.
- Support educational strategies to enhance staff knowledge with respect to processing practices and service delivery.
Requirements:
- Sterile Supply Processing Certificate from a recognized community college or university.
- Five (5) years of recent working experience in a MDR department.
- Two (2) years Medical Device Reprocessing Supervisory experience, preferred.
- Good working knowledge of instrument tracking systems and operating room instrumentation.

- Strong Computer skills in a Windows environment utilizing Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at an advanced level in addition to financial reporting.

- Proven attendance record.
