Job Summary

The University Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Patient Flow Coordinator to join its team at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. As a key member of the Ambulatory Clinics, this individual will be responsible for the overall processing of patient clinic visits from registration through to follow-up appointments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transcribe physician orders and make appointments for tests
  • Answer patient queries and handle busy telephone activities
  • Coordinate and facilitate the efficient flow of patients through the various stages of their visit
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external parties
  • Schedule patient appointments and retrieve charts from Health Records

Requirements

  • Completion of Grade XII or recognized equivalent
  • Minimum of one year related work experience
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare environment is strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of computer software applications preferably in a Microsoft Office environment
