Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Wingell Hospitality Group Inc. as part of our ongoing commitment to excellence in culinary services.

Job Summary:

The Executive Chef will be responsible for leading our culinary team in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This is a key leadership role that requires strong culinary skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Create new recipes and menus that meet our quality standards.
  • Supervise and train cooks, sous-chefs, and other kitchen staff to ensure excellent food preparation and presentation.
  • Plan and execute menus, ensuring that food meets quality standards and is presented in an appealing manner.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, managing inventory and minimizing waste.
  • Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent oral communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
