Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at AWR BANFF LTD o/a A&W. As a key member of our restaurant team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparers and counter attendants.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain high-quality food and service standards.
  • Operations Management
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure timely ordering and inventory management.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Quality Control and Customer Service
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Establish and maintain effective communication with staff, management, and customers to resolve issues and improve overall service.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other relevant metrics to inform business decisions.
    • Establish and maintain work schedules to ensure efficient operation of the food service department.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Client-focused with efficient interpersonal skills.
    • Flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with 35 to 40 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
