Part Time Intervenor to Support Deafblind Individuals

We are seeking a Part Time Intervenor to join our team at Sensity Deafblind and Sensory Support Network of Canada. As a Part Time Intervenor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are deafblind, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities- Support individuals who are deafblind in their daily lives, facilitating communication and independence.
- Develop and implement personalized support plans to meet the unique needs of each individual.
- Provide assistance with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and house cleaning.
- Empower individuals to participate in their communities, including volunteer work and social activities.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as healthcare providers and social workers, to ensure comprehensive support.
- Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program or a related field.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).
- A valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean current driver's abstract.
- A competitive hourly wage starting at $23.03.
