We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Part Time Intervenor to join our team at Sensity Deafblind and Sensory Support Network of Canada. As a Part Time Intervenor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are living with dual sensory impairment, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities- Support individuals in their daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and house cleaning.
- Use effective communication techniques to relay information and empower individuals to participate in all aspects of daily living.
- Assist individuals in developing and achieving their goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support and care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records.
- Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program or a related human services field.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions.
- Communication skills in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).
- A valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean current driver's abstract.
- A competitive wage starting at $23.03/hour.
