About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Full Time Intervenor to support people who are deafblind. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in enabling individuals to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals in their home and community environments, promoting independence and autonomy.
  • Use effective communication techniques to relay information and empower individuals to participate in daily living activities.
  • Assist with developing and supporting individual goals and objectives, promoting personal growth and fulfillment.
  • Provide personal care as required, including lifts and transfers, toileting, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
  • Ensure documentation and records are complete and up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program or a related human services field.
  • Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.
  • Experience supporting persons with mental health conditions.
  • Communication skills in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).
  • A valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean current driver's abstract.
