We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Full Time Intervenor to support individuals who are deafblind in their daily lives. As an Intervenor, you will play a vital role in enabling our clients to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting individuals in their home and community environments to facilitate communication and daily living activities.
- Using effective communication techniques to relay information and empower individuals to make informed decisions.
- Assisting with personal care, including lifts and transfers, toileting, personal hygiene, and medication administration, as required.
- Developing and supporting individual goals and objectives, and assisting with program development.
- Ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping.
- Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program, or a related human services field.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions.
- Communication skills in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).
- A valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean current driver's abstract.
- A competitive wage starting at $23.03/hour.
