At ENGINEERINGUK, we are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Financial Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our Assurance & Accounting team, you will play a critical role in providing business strategies and solutions to our clients.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of relevant public accounting experience and a strong understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles. You will be responsible for leading client-facing engagement teams, delivering industry and technical expertise, and managing a portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Client-Facing Engagement Teams: Lead high-performing teams to complete audits, compliance tax engagements, budgeting, internal controls, and financial/accounting transactions.
  • Deliver Industry Expertise: Provide industry and technical expertise through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations, and high-quality deliverables.
  • Manage Client Relationships: Manage a portfolio of clients, understanding their business, key risks, and ways to deliver added value; ensure clients' needs are met, and relationships and accounts grow and develop.
  • Engagement Planning and Scheduling: Accountable for engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (i.e., budgets, WIPS, timely billing, collection, variance recognition).
  • Maintain Quality Control: Maintain quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify, and address issues relevant to the client's business, financial entries, and reports.
  • Business Development: Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities, and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet client needs.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Mentor, motivate, and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
Requirements
  • CPA Designation: Possess a CPA designation or equivalent.
  • Experience: Have 4 to 6 years of relevant public accounting experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles; proven people management, relationship building, and leadership skills.
