Financial Model Developer for Strategic Investments

This role reports to the Manager, Business Development and involves developing and updating comprehensive financial models to measure strategic investment opportunities in the nitrogen & phosphate business units.

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and effective critical thinking skills. This position is located at our Saskatoon Corporate Office in Saskatchewan, Canada, with options for flexible hybrid work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with multiple stakeholders to collect relevant information for consideration in financial analysis and business case development
  • Create and deliver presentations that concisely summarize analysis and conclusions for management's decision-making purposes
  • Maintain reporting and drive governance for the N&P investment portfolios
  • Develop strong relationships with key business partners across N&P business units
  • Interface with various levels of management and leadership

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of related and progressive work experience in a business or financial analysis role
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related area and post-graduate designation (or working towards) such as a CFA, CPA, CBV or MBA in Strategy, Finance or similar
  • Experience in designing and utilizing complex financial models
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
