Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our Quantitative & Technology Services team. As a key member of our Data, Cloud & Compute team, you will play a critical role in developing high-performance data and compute capabilities used across all of Capital Markets technology.

We are launching a new cloud-based data analytics platform called 'Aperture'. This platform is designed to enable the extraction of commercially valuable insights and intelligence through the application of advanced analytical techniques and AI/ML modeling on very large data sets.

Your primary responsibility will be to engage and partner with technology teams across Capital Markets to 1) deeply understand their business needs, use-cases, datasets, and analytical requirements, 2) assess product-fit and 3) facilitate the smooth adoption of the Aperture platform.

Requirements

  • Strong business domain understanding of Financial Services/ Capital Markets
  • Excellent data analysis and solid background dealing with complex software products
  • Ability to work independently, apply critical and strategic thinking to issues, and manage deadlines while multi-tasking amongst different priorities
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex projects
  • Proven experience with various project delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative and/or Agile
  • Experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation including Data analysis expertise
