Voyageur Aviation Corp. is a leading provider of specialized aviation services, including advanced engineering and maintenance capabilities, part sales and logistics management, aircraft leasing, and contract flying operations.

We are currently seeking an experienced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Manager to join our team at our North Bay head office.

Job Summary

The NDT Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the NDT division, ensuring that NDT staff are setting up and calibrating equipment, performing non-destructive tests, conducting evaluations of testing and/or inspections, and maintaining results in compliance with legislated industry codes, standards, and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and organize resources to ensure outstanding work is completed in the required timeframe.
  • Provide direction, mentorship, and training to staff.
  • Work with customers to ensure repairs are planned, scheduled, and meet expectations.
  • Work with vendors to ensure repairs and supplies meet expectations.
  • Foster growth and direct change to increase capacity, capabilities, and personal development.
  • Ensure quality procedures and policies are being followed to ensure a safe workplace and airworthy product.
  • Provide quality checks and audits to ensure processes are followed and work is being completed within expected parameters.
  • Complete, evaluate, and examine financial reporting, estimates, and invoicing of the NDT Shop.
  • Actively participate in Voyageur's Safety Management System, including reporting hazards and incidents encountered during daily operations.
  • Communicate and work closely with internal and external stakeholders about test results, work priorities, repair requirements, and progress of projects.
Requirements
  • Candidate must have Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) Level 2 certification in NDT methods, Eddy Current Testing (ET), Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT).
  • National Aerospace Standard (NAS) 410 Level 2 qualifications will be considered; employee will be expected to obtain CGSB qualifications.
  • Candidate must have excellent level technical knowledge and understanding of NDT techniques, services, and procedures.
  • Candidate must have excellent level understanding of NDT industry codes, regulations, and practices.
  • Candidate must have clear understanding of technical understanding of Aircraft Component Maintenance programs.
  • Candidate must have good financial management, budgeting, and vendor management skills.
  • Candidate must have advance level skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Estimated Salary

$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

This position is located at our North Bay head office.
