Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Design Specialist to join our team at Ausenco. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in delivering innovative and cost-effective mechanical engineering solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and delivery of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement mechanical engineering solutions that meet client needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve engineering processes and solutions.
- Minimum 25 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the mining, mineral processing, or materials handling industries.
- Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Strong technical expertise in mechanical engineering design, with knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D software, and MS Office.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
