About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Ausenco. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical engineering design projects according to required timeframes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the performance of mechanical engineers and review deliverables to ensure high-quality results.
  • Facilitate the purchase of equipment by specifying requirements and assisting with procurement.
  • Manage the man hour budget and review and approve mechanical capital cost estimates.
  • Take on a mechanical lead role on major projects, including managing engineers and designers, organizing mechanical work, and managing project budget and schedule.
  • Assist in the development and review of relevant mechanical contracts.
  • Issue drawings and engineering deliverables for construction.
  • Motivate engineers and other project team members towards superior performance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of mechanical design engineering experience in a relevant industry.
  • Ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Good knowledge of CAD, 3D software, and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering.
  • Commitment to mentoring and coaching of personnel.
  • Proven ability to manage, motivate, and influence employees at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Well-developed written and oral skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
