About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Design Specialist to join our team at Ausenco. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in delivering innovative and cost-effective mechanical engineering solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement mechanical engineering solutions that meet client needs.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring effective resource allocation and minimizing costs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Minimum 25 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the mining, mineral processing, or materials handling industries.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical engineering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Strong technical expertise in mechanical engineering design, with knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D software, and MS Office.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
