About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Burlington, Canada. As a key member of our mechanical engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and equipment for various projects.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure mechanical design solutions meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, drawings, and reports.
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies and processes to improve mechanical design efficiency and effectiveness.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.
  • At least 25 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the minerals and metals industry.
  • Excellent technical skills, including knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D software, and MS Office.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
