About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Design Specialist to join our team at Ausenco. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in delivering innovative and cost-effective mechanical engineering solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement mechanical engineering solutions that meet client needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our engineering processes and deliverables.
Requirements
  • Minimum 25 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the mining, mineral processing, or materials handling industries.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Excellent technical skills, including proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D software, and MS Office.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
