Nuclear Medicine Technologist: Dynamic Opportunity in Diagnostic Imaging

SalaryThe estimated salary for this position is CAD $41.75/Hr., which reflects the competitive compensation package offered by Vancouver Coastal Health.
Job DescriptionAs a Nuclear Medicine Bone Densitometry Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine and bone densitometry procedures in accordance with departmental policies.
Key responsibilities include preparing patients for examination, operating nuclear medicine and bone densitometry equipment, monitoring patients during procedures, and preparing, dispensing, and administering radiopharmaceuticals.
You will also perform routine quality control tests on imaging equipment, monitor areas utilizing appropriate detection devices, and dispose of radioactive substances and contaminated items by following established guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Certification with the CAMRT (Nuclear Medicine)
- Successful completion of 12 CME/CE credits in bone densitometry or current or previous CBDT or CDT certification with the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) or equivalent as approved by DAP
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification - Basic Life Support (BCLS) level
