About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations on various sections of the body, including abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, peripheral vascular, and small parts. You will also be required to prepare patients for testing, review case history, and explain procedures to patients and their families.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $40.83/Hr. - $50.94/Hr., which is based on the average cost of living in Canada. In addition to your base salary, you will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a graduate degree from a recognized training program in Medical Diagnostic Sonography and be certified with Sonography Canada or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Perform ultrasound examinations on various sections of the body, including abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, peripheral vascular, and small parts.
  2. Prepare patients for testing, review case history, and explain procedures to patients and their families.
  3. Assist in procedural rooms by setting up biopsy trays and assisting the radiologist during interventional procedures.
  4. Check resultant images for technical quality and completeness and discuss images with the radiologist to ensure examinations address designated requirements.
  5. Monitor equipment performance and perform quality control duties in accordance with recommended manufacturers' guidelines.
  6. Demonstrate procedures and usage of equipment to staff and participate in orientation of new employees.
  7. Participate in maintaining patient and hospital records by entering data into the diagnostic imaging and hospital information systems.
