About this role

We are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join our Major Projects team, working from our site office in Surrey, BC. Here's how your role will strengthen our team.

You will be in a leadership role on a team of up to 250 people pursuing, designing, planning, and executing Electrical and Technology project scopes.

Your responsibilities

  • Participate in the design and/or construction meetings with the owner, general contractor, sub trades, and vendors
  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects, and vendors
  • Control the time, cost, and quality of construction projects
  • Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
  • Manage project financial performance
  • Work with the foreman and superintendent as a team to review the project documents and discuss labor requirements and staffing

Your experience and skills

  • Minimum 7 years of previous project management experience with a strong background or knowledge in electrical work within the construction industry
  • Demonstrated experience completing multiple projects from start-up to close-out
  • High school Diploma & Electrical TQ or Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • Training or Courses in Project Management
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Accubid, MS Project
  • Financial acumen and basic understanding of contract law
  • Ability to create a detailed project schedule
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to understand customer's needs
  • PMP Certification, P.Eng., or equivalent education

Salary range: $115,000-$140,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and overall match to the position offered. Let's chat throughout the hiring process and determine the best fit.
