Senior Project Manager RoleWe are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join our Major Projects team, working from our site office in Surrey, BC. This leadership role involves overseeing a team of up to 250 people pursuing, designing, planning, and executing Electrical and Technology project scopes.
Your Responsibilities- Participate in design and/or construction meetings with the owner, general contractor, sub-trades, and vendors
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects, and vendors
- Control the time, cost, and quality of construction projects
- Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
- Manage project financial performance
- Work with the foreman and superintendent as a team to review project documents and discuss labor requirements and staffing
- Minimum 7 years of previous project management experience with a strong background or knowledge in electrical work within the construction industry
- Demonstrated experience completing multiple projects from start-up to close-out
- High school diploma & Electrical TQ or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent
- Training or courses in project management
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Accubid, MS Project
- Financial acumen and basic understanding of contract law
- Ability to create a detailed project schedule
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to understand customer needs
- PMP certification, P.Eng., or equivalent education
