Senior Project Manager Role

We are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join our Major Projects team, working from our site office in Surrey, BC. This leadership role involves overseeing a team of up to 250 people pursuing, designing, planning, and executing Electrical and Technology project scopes.

Your Responsibilities
  • Participate in design and/or construction meetings with the owner, general contractor, sub-trades, and vendors
  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects, and vendors
  • Control the time, cost, and quality of construction projects
  • Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
  • Manage project financial performance
  • Work with the foreman and superintendent as a team to review project documents and discuss labor requirements and staffing
Your Experience and Skills
  • Minimum 7 years of previous project management experience with a strong background or knowledge in electrical work within the construction industry
  • Demonstrated experience completing multiple projects from start-up to close-out
  • High school diploma & Electrical TQ or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Training or courses in project management
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Accubid, MS Project
  • Financial acumen and basic understanding of contract law
  • Ability to create a detailed project schedule
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to understand customer needs
  • PMP certification, P.Eng., or equivalent education

Salary Range:

$115,000-$140,000 per year, plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and overall match to the position offered.
