Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at North York General Hospital. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all ultrasound imaging examinations with precision and accuracy
  • Ensure imaging equipment is in proper working order and necessary supplies are on hand
  • Record and compute supply inventory for assigned area
  • Correlate history, physical findings, lab reports, etc., with examinations required
  • Work under pressure in a quick and efficient manner
  • Demonstrate excellent clinical and technical skills
  • Work effectively with the imaging team
  • Operate all the equipment in the ultrasound area
  • Assist in training ultrasound students
Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a recognized sonography program from an accredited institution
  • Current registration with the CMRITO is required
  • Current registration with Sonography Canada is preferred
  • Strong medical imaging background and a minimum of one year as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
  • Hospital experience is an asset
  • Bilingualism in French/English is an asset
