Job Summary

This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to residents in our long-term care home, with a focus on promoting independence, dignity, and well-being. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each resident.

Responsibilities
  • Nursing Care: Provide direct care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Care Planning: Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans that promote resident independence, dignity, and well-being.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident care, including progress notes, medication administration records, and other relevant documentation.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent.
  • Licensure: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
  • Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is $80,000-$110,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include comprehensive health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and generous paid time off.
