Talent Acquisition Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team at the Canadian Cancer Society. As a key member of our recruitment team, you will play a critical role in attracting and selecting top talent to support our mission to eradicate cancer.
Key Responsibilities- Full Cycle Recruitment: Manage all aspects of the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate review and selection, onboarding, and reporting.
- Internship/Student Program Coordination: Oversee the coordination of internship and student programs, including reviewing and coordinating all aspects of the program, building relationships with schools and community partners, and researching and presenting funding opportunities.
- Broad Talent Acquisition Strategies: Support the team on various recruitment and selection projects, participate in creative sourcing and social recruiting activities, and actively share and post talent-related content on social media sites.
- A combination of education and work experience demonstrating success in coordination, time management, and organization.
- Energetic, tech-savvy, and results-oriented, thriving in fast-paced, agile environments.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with internal and external audiences.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, adept at managing multiple tasks and projects with rigor.
- Collaborative team player who values unity and can also work independently.
- Ability to foster positive relationships with others, building trust and credibility with care and empathy.
- Solution-driven approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Ability to remain calm and effective during periods of high volume of work, demonstrating courage.
- Strong work ethic and superior customer service skills, committed to providing quality experiences for all internal partners.
- High proficiency in English (verbal, written, and presentation); French fluency is a strong asset.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with ATS and/or HRIS systems is considered an asset.
- Experience supporting recruitment or HR teams is an asset.
