Certified Mobility Training Specialist

The role of a Signing Authority/Driver Trainer at Voyago involves training and teaching employees how to drive company-owned vehicles in a safe and professional manner. As part of the team, you will provide high-quality customer service in a fast-paced work environment.
Your key responsibilities may include:
- Training new drivers on safe driving practices
- Assessing drivers' abilities through evaluations
- Visiting park-out locations to maintain consistent practices
- Participating in ride-alongs with drivers and driver hopefuls
- Retraining existing drivers to support continuous improvement and excellence
You may also be required to:
- Drive school routes as needed
- Instruct Voyago divisional training as required
- Facilitate licence upgrade training for B-class drivers
- Provide instructional programs as needed by the school division manager
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
- A clean driving record and a minimum of 3 consecutive years of holding a B licence (mandatory)
- Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Excellent proven customer service experience
- In-depth knowledge of Ottawa and surrounding areas
- Good organization and communication skills
- Availability to work flexible hours
- Understanding of the vehicle-for-hire industry
- Knowledge of wheelchair tie-downs and Q-Straint systems
- Previous instructional or teaching experience
- May have previous Driver Assessment experience
