Executive Business Development Director

As a Senior Manager - Business Development at Wesco, you will lead the research and analysis of new business opportunities, aligning them with sales and financial objectives. Your responsibility will be to create effective business strategies to generate revenue, expand product lines, and enter new markets.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the development and research activities to leverage Company strengths, identify potential new markets, increase market share, and enhance Wesco's competitive position within the industry.
  2. Represent Wesco in identifying, evaluating, and negotiating acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, and start-ups in current and new businesses.
  3. Identify and document cost savings related to direct spend, indirect spend, and value-added services programs.
  4. Develop and implement account business development activities, including product gap identification, account discovery process, and complete organization engagement.
  5. Manage a team of experienced professional Business Development employees or supervisors, or oversee large, complex support, production, or operations teams.
  6. Determine annual goals and priorities for achieving operational results generated by business development and passed to the sales team.
  7. Accountable for the revenue target performance and profitability results of a collective team.
  8. Regularly produce, review, and submit required documentation and reports on the status of ongoing business, including forecasting future performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. A High School Degree or Equivalent is required; a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration is preferred.
  2. 8+ years of experience directly related to the position are required.
  3. 8+ years of financial analysis, sales, and negotiation experience are required.
  4. Knowledge of the industry, including suppliers, customers, and competitors.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Strong business analysis, financial modeling, and negotiation skills.
  7. The ability to initiate and develop relationships with key decision-makers inside and outside the company.
  8. The ability to spot new business opportunities and quickly evaluate them.
  9. The ability to analyze financial and operational data, statements, and projections.
  10. The ability to identify and cultivate external resources.
  11. The ability to establish relationships of trust.
  12. The ability to solve difficult, technical, or complex problems, analyze and investigate complex problems, and devise solutions.
  13. The ability to adapt plans and priorities to address resources and operational challenges within a fast-paced environment.

Estimated Salary:$150,000 - $200,000 per annum
