We're seeking an experienced Data Protection and Compliance Manager to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine process management expertise with data-driven technologies at Capital One.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role
  • Lead a team that partners with groups across the company to design, build, manage, and enhance data retention and protection processes and controls.
  • Design, develop, and implement processes and controls that govern Canada's compliance to internal policies and procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant data policies and procedures, and ensure documentation is up-to-date.
  • Manage delivery of data processes by defining and implementing process improvement agendas.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in process management, risk management or data roles.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a cross-functional environment, ensuring stakeholder expectations are managed effectively.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience designing, managing, and improving processes.
  • Experience using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data environments would be an advantage.
