About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Director to join our Capital Markets team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading financial institution and contribute to the development of our compliance programs.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and implementing compliance policies and procedures across our Capital Markets business, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive compliance frameworks to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance;
  • Collaborating with senior management and other stakeholders to implement compliance initiatives and monitor their effectiveness;
  • Conducting regular audits and risk assessments to identify areas of improvement and develop recommendations for enhancement;
  • Providing training and guidance to employees on compliance matters and industry best practices;
  • Staying up-to-date with evolving regulatory requirements and providing expert advice to the business on compliance implications.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A deep understanding of financial regulations, including FCA and EU MiFID II requirements;
  • Proven experience in a compliance or related role, preferably within a financial services organization;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
