Compliance Leader for Education Savings

Embark Student Corp. is seeking a seasoned executive to fill the role of Chief Compliance Officer, responsible for leading our compliance functions and ensuring regulatory compliance across the organization.

The RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Chief Compliance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compliance, legal, and regulatory roles, with a proven track record of overseeing high-performing compliance teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive compliance policies and procedures;
- Overseeing all compliance functions and key risk indicators within the Compliance Division;
- Providing assurance to senior leaders and the Board that effective compliance policies and procedures are in place;
- Acting as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for Embark Student Corp.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance, legal, and/or regulatory roles, including at least 5 years in senior management positions;
- A strong understanding of Canadian compliance laws and regulations;
- Demonstrated expertise in policy development and implementation;
- Excellent communication and project management skills;
- A Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
