Citigroup Inc. is seeking a seasoned Risk and Compliance Expert to join our Internal Audit team in an intermediate level role.

About the Job

As a Risk and Compliance Expert, you will be responsible for performing moderately complex audits and assessments of our risk and control environments. You will work closely with the Audit team to develop new techniques and processes for the area or function, contributing to Citi's success and business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Perform moderately complex audits, including drafting audit reports and presenting issues to senior stakeholders.
  • Complete assigned audits within budgeted timeframes and costs.
  • Monitor, assess, and recommend solutions to emerging risks.
  • Contribute to the development of audit process improvements, including the development of automated routines.
  • Apply internal audit standards, policies, and regulations to provide timely audit assurance and influence audit scope.
  • Develop effective relationships with line managers to ensure a strong understanding of the business.
  • Exercise independence of judgment and autonomy.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, considering the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Subject matter expertise regarding audit technology's application.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Effective influencing and relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment.
  • Experience related to banking regulation (SR 15-18 and US Final Rule | Basel III) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of banking products is also preferred but not a requirement.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
