About the Position

At VertiGIS, we're seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our Professional Services team. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and help our customers overcome real-world problems using Esri mapping and VertiGIS Studio tools.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop customized web-GIS applications for clients to use on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  • Extend the ArcGIS Platform using the VertiGIS Studio products framework.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to our clients worldwide.
  • Perform some server/network administration and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with a development team through the lifecycle of a project.
  • Create clear and functional tests.

  • Is continually learning about new technologies and adapting their approach to solving problems.
  • Enjoys occasional business travel to client sites (not mandatory).
  • Creates and fosters great relationships across different organizations.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of some of the following software technologies: C#,.NET, JavaScript, HTML5, and IIS.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Understanding of the basics of web hosting and content delivery (HTTP).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 or more years of development experience.
  • Exposure and familiarity with GIS concepts.
  • Experience with the ArcGIS Platform (ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS JavaScript API, Web AppBuilder, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud hosting providers (AWS, Azure), networking, and security best practices.
