Job Summary:

Bureau Veritas Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sample Collection Coordinator Driver/Pick-Up to join our team. As a key member of our Food Sample Logistics Department, you will be responsible for collecting samples from various retail establishments, documenting and shipping them to laboratories across Canada, and performing administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect samples from retail establishments within a 100 km radius and document the process
  • Ship samples to laboratories across Canada, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry and record-keeping, in accordance with client guidelines
  • Organize and maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Unpack and organize food samples from coolers, ensuring they meet requirements
  • Verify sample documentation and identify any discrepancies
  • Report concerns and escalate issues to senior staff as needed
  • Manage paperwork and input information into a computerized system
  • Sort and distribute samples to other departments for testing
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisory staff to resolve issues
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and work instructions
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Present a professional demeanor and appearance

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for daily use
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Adaptability and flexibility to change priorities quickly
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs and repetitive lifting of 1-20lbs
  • Flexibility to work days, afternoons, nights, weekends, on-call, and overtime as needed
  • High school diploma and relevant experience in food manufacturing, laboratory, or production-related environments
