Sample Collection Coordinator Driver/Pick-Up Specialist

Job Summary:

Bureau Veritas Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sample Collection Coordinator Driver/Pick-Up to join our team. As a key member of our Food Sample Logistics Department, you will be responsible for collecting samples from various retail establishments within a 100 km radius, documenting and shipping samples to laboratories across Canada, and performing supporting administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and transport samples from retail establishments to laboratories, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of sample collection, transportation, and delivery, including documentation and shipping.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry, paperwork creation, and organization, to support the smooth operation of the department.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisory staff to resolve issues and ensure seamless sample collection and delivery processes.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail establishments, laboratories, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient sample collection and delivery processes.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for daily use.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, meeting strict client deadlines.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to change priorities quickly, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong computer and typing skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs unaided and repetitive lifting of 1 to 20lbs as required.
  • Flexibility to work days, afternoons, nights, weekends, on-call, and overtime as per business requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience in food manufacturing, laboratory, or production-related environments preferred.
