About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Services Leader to join our team. As a Tax Services Leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective tax strategies and planning assignments for our clients. You will work closely with partners and other senior staff to identify opportunities for growth and improvement, and will be responsible for managing a portfolio of tax services clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective tax strategies and planning assignments for clients
  • Work closely with partners and other senior staff to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Manage a portfolio of tax services clients
  • Review tax returns and other tax work prepared by staff
  • Identify and cultivate new sales and/or client service opportunities
  • Manage engagement financials, including budgets, WIP, variances, and billing
  • Mentor, train, and develop staff
  • Lead practice and professional development initiatives

Requirements

  • CPA designation or equivalent work experience
  • Completion of the In-Depth Tax Program or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working in public practice accounting
  • At least two years in a tax specialty role, HST experience is an asset
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining trusted advisor relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop others to build high-performing teams
  • Project management skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Business development skills are an asset
