Bookkeeping and Financial Management Specialist

The Village Inn-Elora seeks a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeping and Financial Management Specialist to maintain accurate financial records and prepare cheques for payroll. This role involves calculating fixed assets and depreciation, maintaining general ledgers and financial statements, and reconciling accounts. The successful candidate will have excellent time management skills, be able to work independently, and possess strong teamwork and communication skills. The position requires a permanent work arrangement with a 30-hour workweek. English language proficiency is necessary for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
- Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Post journal entries
- Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
- Prepare tax returns
- Prepare trial balance of books
- Reconcile accounts
Requirements:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
- Ability to work independently
- Overtime required
- Work under pressure
