Financial Operations Manager
OverviewThe Town of Hay River is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Finance Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and personnel of the Finance & Administration division.
Key Responsibilities- Manage land and taxation functions, including customer inquiries, monthly and yearly land accounts reconciliation, and renewal of land headleases and licenses.
- Oversee accounts receivable functions, including review and verification of invoicing and utility billing accuracy.
- Ensure accurate payments and approve payroll on a biweekly basis, complete T4's, GST returns, and bank reconciliations.
- Perform other accounting and supervisory functions, including reconciliation of accounts, recommendation of internal controls, and coordination of burials and vital records.
- Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.
- Five or more years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Two or more years of supervisory experience in a financial setting.
The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain confidentiality. They must also have strong communication and leadership skills, as well as problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year-
