About the Role

The Physiotherapy Resident will assess, diagnose and treat patients in a tertiary care setting who present with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations or disabilities.

This position involves assessing patient's medical history, performing specific and standardized tests and evaluation procedures to determine a physical diagnosis.

Treatment programs are developed using exercises, education, and manual, mechanical, electrical and hydrotherapy techniques to assist patients in regaining and/or maintaining an optimal level of function.

About You
  • You should have a Bachelor's degree or entry-level master program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university
  • Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists (Provincial licensing body) is required
  • Computer skills are necessary for tasks such as statistics input, word processing, and Outlook
  • Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification (BCLS) is a must
  • WHMIS training and certification are also required
  • Additional courses/education/training in many specialized areas or practice are an asset

About the Opportunity

This is a full-time long assignment position with 100% FTE and approximately 12 months duration.

Shifts include days and some weekends, and travel to various sites may be required.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $40,755 per annum ($33.97 per hour).

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
