About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Operations Manager to join our team at Sun Peaks Grand Hotel & Conference Centre. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage outlets, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance our food and beverage offerings, aligning with our resort's overall goals and objectives.
- Create innovative menus that cater to guest preferences, dietary restrictions, and seasonal variations, in collaboration with our culinary teams.
- Maintain high food quality standards, presentation, and service throughout all food and beverage outlets, conducting regular inspections and evaluations to ensure consistency and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, forecast revenue and expenses, and identify opportunities for cost control and revenue growth, monitoring financial performance and implementing corrective measures as needed.
- Oversee inventory control procedures, including ordering, receiving, storage, and stock rotation, minimizing waste and ensuring optimal inventory levels to support operational needs.
- Recruit, train, and oversee food and beverage management, fostering a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, and providing ongoing coaching and development.
- Champion a culture of exceptional guest experience and hospitality among staff, addressing guest inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally, striving to exceed guest expectations at all times.
- Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and vendors to negotiate favourable terms, source high-quality ingredients and products, and stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, sanitation regulations, licensing, and alcohol service requirements, conducting regular audits and inspections to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, financial metrics, and operational insights, providing recommendations for improvement and strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience of a minimum of 10 years in senior leadership within the hospitality industry, preferably in a resort or upscale restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, cost control, and inventory management.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, multitask, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computerized systems and software for inventory management, point-of-sale, and financial analysis.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of quality, service, and professionalism.
