Correctional Services Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Correctional Officer to join our team at the Department of Justice. As a Correctional Officer, you will be responsible for the safe and secure custody, control, and supervision of sentence and remand persons in custody in an adult correctional facility.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate the safe and secure custody, control, and supervision of persons in custody
- Participate in the case management of persons in custody, including approving and arranging professional and personal visits and phone calls
- Supervise persons in custody work activity inside and outside the facility
- Record and communicate information through reports, forms, logbooks, email, and JEIN documentation
To be successful in this role, you will require a High School diploma and 2 years of related experience. An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered. Typical equivalencies include a certificate/diploma from an accredited Correctional Officer program or a University degree in a related field of study.
