Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and servicing of products, primarily associated with fiber optic and network equipment at customer locations. You will work closely with our customers to ensure their satisfaction with our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and servicing of fiber optic and network equipment
  • Performing network splicing and certification
  • Responding to corrective network problems and performing effective and efficient problem analysis
  • Performing cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders
  • Testing and implementing new equipment and test equipment and processes into network construction
Requirements
  • Fiber splicing experience preferred
  • Experience in the CATV, telecommunications, and/or power industries highly desirable
  • Ability to work at heights over 30ft
  • Ability to use fiber test equipment, OTDR, Spectrum Analyzer, Light Identifier, Power Source, etc.
  • Ability to lift equipment/ladders up to 75lbs
  • Good English speaking/communication skills required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong computer skills using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Work Environment

This position requires you to work in a plant/warehouse environment and may involve overnight travel, operating a forklift, and driving a company vehicle. You must be able to pass the company's driving requirements and have a valid driver's license. You will be exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products, and periodic blood tests may be required to measure the level of lead.
