About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Translator-Editor to join our team at the National Research Council Canada. As a key member of our Construction Research Centre, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of national model construction codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate technical and legal documents from English to French with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Edit French translations to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Use terminology banks and computer-assisted translation tools to streamline the translation process.
  • Collaborate with a team of editors, translators, and IT specialists to achieve project goals.
Requirements
  • University degree in Translation (from English to French) or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in translation and editing of technical or legal documents.
  • Proficiency in terminology banks and computer-assisted translation tools.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
