Job Title: Technical Translator

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Translator to join our team at the National Research Council Canada. As a Technical Translator, you will be responsible for translating technical documents from English to French, ensuring accuracy and precision in your work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate technical documents from English to French, including reports, manuals, and other materials
  • Ensure that translations are accurate, precise, and meet the required standards
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure that translations are technically correct
  • Use terminology banks and computer-assisted translation tools to enhance translation efficiency and quality
  • Work with a team of editors and translators to ensure that translations are consistent and of high quality
Requirements:
  • University degree in Translation or a related field
  • At least one year of experience in translation, preferably in a technical field
  • Excellent knowledge of French and English languages, including grammar, syntax, and vocabulary
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
