Job Title: Technical Translator

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Translator to join our team at the National Research Council Canada. As a Technical Translator, you will be responsible for translating technical documents from English to French, ensuring accuracy and precision in your work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate technical documents, including user guides, code enquiries, and presentations, from English to French.
  • Edit contract translations and perform other duties as necessary.
  • Work within a team of editors, translators, and IT specialists to ensure high-quality translations.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and consistency in translations.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Translation (from English to French) or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in translation of technical or legal documents from English to French.
  • Excellent knowledge of terminology and particular needs and preferences exhibited by technical practitioners.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to carry out instructions and communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
