Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Body Shop Manager to join our team at MTB Transit Solutions. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our shop employees and working closely with our Vice President, Operations to achieve our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve shop efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage and supervise shop employees, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and excellent customer service.
  • Inspect and quality control shop employees' work to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Manage and schedule employees to optimize efficiency and meet customer demands.
  • Set goals and objectives for the shop and monitor progress to achieve best-in-class customer service.
  • Collaborate with other key business functions, including finance and purchasing, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Work with finance to manage customer invoicing and accounts receivable.
  • Manage and oversee data entry into computerized workflow tracking systems.
Requirements
  • Minimum five years of experience supervising body repairs and/or assembly of heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle/equipment preventative maintenance, refurbishment, and repair practices and procedures.
  • Sound business judgment, highly developed organizational, administrative, supervisory, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Canadian resident.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ten plus years of direct experience in an automotive/truck environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to withstand long periods of standing and bending.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials, if required.
Working at MTB
  • Our facility is located in a convenient location with easy commuter access.
  • Shifts are Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 3:30pm.
  • We provide a clean working environment and the latest tools.
