Job Title: Senior Manager, Content - Toronto Office
Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Content to lead our content team in the Toronto office. The successful candidate will have a strong background in content creation and leadership roles in B2B Tech environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute a Content Strategy: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with Rewind's business goals and objectives.
- Manage Content Teams: Oversee the management of content teams, including writing and design functions, ensuring high-quality production of written content and visual assets.
- Own Editorial Calendar: Own and manage the editorial calendar across all content channels, ensuring cohesive content planning and timely publication.
- Project Management: Manage project workflows, resources, and capacity to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality output.
- Blog Management: Oversee the Rewind blog, making it the go-to source for industry news, how-tos, and expert insights.
- Social Media: Manage Rewind's organic social media channels, creating engaging content that fosters community engagement and drives traffic.
- Workflows and Feedback: Define and manage workflows, provide feedback, and mentor team members to improve quality and impact.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content supports their objectives and resonates with target audiences.
- SEO Optimization: Optimize content for SEO and ensure discoverability.
- Performance Tracking: Track and report on content performance using data and analytics.
- Relationship Management: Manage relationships with external partners, freelancers, and agencies.
- Staying Current: Stay up-to-date on content marketing trends and identify new opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
We are looking for candidates with:
- 4+ years of experience in content creation or content leadership roles, with a strong focus on B2B Tech.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute content strategies that support business goals.
- Experience managing content teams and providing feedback, coaching, and ensuring high-quality output.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and applying them to content creation and strategy.
- Proven ability to analyze content performance using data and metrics to improve results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and shifting priorities effectively.
- Collaboration across departments and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
