Job Title: Surveillance Supervisor

At Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surveillance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our surveillance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of integrity and professionalism in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and guide the surveillance team to ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication.
  • Ensure compliance with BCLC & GPEB policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Internal Department Procedures (IDP).
  • Proactively review and analyze video footage to document incidents, including customer complaints, procedural errors, risk management issues, AML investigations, player evaluations, thefts, and discrepancies.
  • Monitor table games, slot machines, and critical areas of the casino to maintain a secure and safe environment.
  • Prepare daily logs, compliance review reports, and incident reports as required.
  • Preserve video evidence of significant events as directed.
  • Train new employees and coach current employees on new policies and procedures.
  • Verify the accuracy and thoroughness of investigations and reports submitted by operators.
  • Communicate effectively with floor security officers regarding suspicious activity or protocol deviations.
  • Assist Department Managers, Police, BCLC/GPEB Investigators, and Compliance Officers as needed.
Requirements:
  • Maintain the highest level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Proven attention to detail, reliability, punctuality, efficiency, and diligence in duties and responsibilities.
  • Self-motivated, able to multitask, and well-organized.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including friendliness, efficiency, politeness, and patience.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to focus on a computer screen for extended periods.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Education and Experience:
  • Ability to obtain a Casino Surveillance Operator (CSO) Training Completion Certification Level 1 & 2.
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check and Gaming Worker Registration through the Gaming Enforcement Branch (GPEB).
  • 2+ years of demonstrated security/surveillance gaming experience or 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a gaming environment.
  • Table games experience is an asset.
  • Education in the study of law enforcement is an asset.
  • CCTV Technicians Certification is an asset.
