About the Opportunity

As a Long Term Care Assistant with Shannex Incorporated, you will be an integral part of our care team, providing exceptional support to our residents. Your role will involve:

  • Spending quality time with residents, engaging in meaningful conversations and providing emotional support.
  • Assisting residents with daily activities, such as eating, bathing, and dressing.
  • Supporting residents in recreational programs and activities.
  • Monitoring residents' health and well-being, reporting any concerns to nursing staff.
  • Assisting with meal services, daily activities, and other tasks as needed.
  • Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A post-secondary education, valid CPR/First Aid training, Food Handlers Certification, or equivalent experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Previous work experience in a client-focused, safety-minded environment, with a broad skillset.
  • Availability to work shifts on days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Adaptability, friendliness, and a willingness to provide assistance where needed.
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
