Food Service Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at G & B FUEL & CNVCE STORE. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department, including managing staff, maintaining high-quality food standards, and controlling costs.
Key Responsibilities:- Estimate and Manage Food and Supplies: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
- Prepare Budget and Reports: Prepare budget and cost estimates, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports.
- Supervise and Train Staff: Supervise and check assembly of trays, establish work schedules, and ensure that staff are trained and equipped to provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail and ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Client Focus: Demonstrate a client-focused approach and provide excellent customer service.
- Efficient Interpersonal Skills: Possess efficient interpersonal skills and work effectively with colleagues and management.
- Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Mentorship Programs: Participate in mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth.
- Welcoming Work Environment: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
- Relationships with Indigenous Communities: Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
- Elder Support: Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for mature workers.
- Hiring Policies: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
