Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Unit Clerk to provide exceptional administrative support to our healthcare team in Burlington, Canada.

Responsibilities
  • Manage patient reception and registration processes with accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintain and process patient records, medical orders, and related documentation
  • Communicate professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and staff via phone and email
  • Coordinate scheduling and booking of patient appointments
  • Enter data accurately into electronic health records using specialized software
  • Organize and file medical reports, test results, and other clinical documentation
  • Support medical staff with administrative tasks and documentation requirements
  • Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements
  • Medical Office Administration diploma or 1 year of recent clerical experience in a healthcare setting
  • Medical terminology certificate required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience with healthcare information systems preferred
  • Demonstrated typing speed of 30 wpm minimum with high accuracy
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Superior customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Proven organizational and time management capabilities
