Global Mobility Specialist

Aecon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Immigration & Mobility Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on US and international immigration and tax laws, as well as relocation services to ensure the smooth transition of employees and their families into new countries.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and guidance on US and international immigration and tax laws
- Develop and implement relocation policies and procedures
- Manage tax process and filing requirements for employees
- Conduct research and benchmarking on emerging legislation and best practices within the field of immigration and mobility
- Develop and enhance templates, checklists, and policies for cross-border and international projects
- Provide strategic input into the continued development of 'best in class' mobility programs and practices
- Post-secondary education in a field related to personnel management
- 2-3 years' experience working in immigration, mobility, or human resources
- Strong understanding of Canadian and/or US immigration laws
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with high resilience
- Superior problem-solving skills and ability to demonstrate agility in creating valuable solutions to complex issues quickly
- Competitive salary range of $66,000 to $68,000 annually
- 37.5 hours/week
